About Mobile, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

As Alabama's oldest city, Mobile is a refreshingly cosmopolitan mix of history and modern industry set in the scenic Deep South on the shore of Mobile Bay. Explored by a trio of Spanish explorers through the early 1500s, Mobile was settled in 1702 by a pair of French naval officer brothers. Named after the Mobilian Indians of the area, the city thrived as a port city on the strength of the cotton industry and during World War II as a shipyard.

Today top employers include many health facilities, including Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, manufacturers ThyssenKrupp and ST Mobile Aerospace, and the Mobile County Public School System. Mobile has a humid subtropical climate with an average summer high of 91, an average winter high of 61, and five and a half feet of rain per year, enough to be considered the rainiest city in the contiguous U.S.

Because of its port status, the city has always been more multicultural than other cities in the region. It's home to the first and still one of the biggest Mardi Gras celebrations in the nation, and the National African American Archives and Museum is here. Mobile has opera and ballet companies which perform at theMobile Civic Center, and the Saenger Theatre houses the symphony. The annual BayFest is one of the largest festivals in the area, featuring over a hundred bands on nine stages over three days. There are hundreds of museums, gardens, public parks, and other things to see and do.

The Mobile County Public School System oversees the public schools, and there are several private schools as well, mostly Catholic. There are four universities, including the University of South AlabamaBishop State Community College, and branch campuses from several other institutions as well.
